Mission Editing - Configuring Aircraft Cockpit Switch Configuration(s)

Hi Fellow Pilots,

 

Does anyone know where a good place to start would be for how to setup the various systems on the aircraft. Very extreme/simple example, say I want the Left DDI on 'SA', AMPCD on HSI with Map off, WAYP on and SEQ1 boxed, and Right DDI to be A/A Radar to be 4B 2, 20 Mile with 80 degree sweep?

One can edit the auto-start script for the aircraft of interest to achieve about any cockpit config desired. This one for example:  

d:\DCS World\Mods\aircraft\FA-18C\Cockpit\Scripts\Macro_sequencies.lua

Thank you. I did not really want to interfere with the Auto-Start script, I just wanted to set variables whilst starting the mission, airborne and underway

 

Or, did I misunderstand what you were saying???

In fact, I can't even find the auto-start script for the F/A-18C
