Hello guys.

I'll be making a new Black Shark movie soon, but this particular movie requires music that does not have any copyright attached to it.

And as some of you may know, i have made a few movies in the past where i used music that a friend of mine created, but he has been rather "absent" lately, and hardly makes anything these days (or so it seems).

So in other words, if you know of a great track, that either you own, or is 100% copyright free, that would suit well for an "overview trailer" of Black Shark, please let me know, and i would greatly appreciate it! :)

*PS: nothing trance/dance/techno-like*

Thanks in advance.

Cheers

A little bit of fancy editing and you can do away with the rock songs. Let's have the original sound track. Painful death screams and all.

You want to add something that's not in the game why not add something like frantic radio comms, sounds of small arms fire (liveleak got tons of these), etc. I'm sure some of the rotor heads here can manage a little voice acting. Or you can get the real combat stuff from Liveleak.

I couldn't find any rock tune but this was the best I found that was "non copright" + free! G_A I know you requested no trance music but this is more of electrionica. Plz listen to it before judging ;)

No idea G_A,

Don't think so.

Depends where u want to release it.

Know someone having their song played on radio and TV, and they get paid for it. for etch time its played.

dont think they get any money when songs played on YouTube :)

U wouldn't sell the BS movie would u?

GA,

I have a few recommendations for you. First, there's a guy named Kevin Macleod who writes royalty-free cinematic music and categorizes it on his website:

http://incompetech.com/m/c/royalty-free/

Second, theres a website called archive.org where a lot of people upload "creative commons" works, I don't know if you want to use those, since alot of them disallow use in commercial projects. I don't know if this video is going to be a official BS movie, so you might want to take that into consideration. Most of these just require you provide them credit in your work.

But there is a HUGE selection of music there, specifically in their "open source music" directory. Nine Inch Nails has even uploaded several non-commercial albums to this website, and they are quite interesting to listen to.

Heres a few links:

http://www.archive.org/details/opensource_audio ---main page you can search from

Nine Inch Nails "Ghosts" album (theres some really cinematic stuff in here)

Nine Inch Nails "The Slip" album (check out the track "corona radiata", specifically from the 4:00 on part of the song)

I have a great idea of music for a black shark video. Definitely already idea for the video in mind BUT still lacking the sim :)

Anyway what I want to ask you, Glowing_Amraam, do you like the song that is layed over the following video in General for a video?

The song doesn't fit to this video but it was the only one I found the Instrumental version on.

I strongly recommend Instrumental music !

So here is the Instrumental Version of "Meadows of Heaven" from Nightwish:

Don't watch the video at all - it's just the music and please listen to the whole track.

I want to know if it's kinda like what you search for, or is it too slow (has stronger parts inside)?

Regards,

Airway

Thanks to Nellen, i have now found the song to use for the next Black Shark video. It is extremely different from what i would have prefered, but also it's a nice twist for such a video.. :)

And to Airway; I can't use the music you provided because its music from Nightwish, and i also believe there are copyrights attached to it. The tune is nice though. I might've used it for something else... :)

@Shaman: Free of charge doesn't mean free of copyrights.

@Glowing_Amraam: I just wanted to ask if that kind of music would be nice. It's a copyright tune, yes.

But in general would you use of this kind or faster?

The GEMA sites here in Germany (free music without licence) are not providing upbeating music. Sounds like music from a chewing gum machine.

I'm sure i could use such a song for one of my videos, though this particular video would be of a more slow nature.
