rogorogo Posted June 18, 2021 Posted June 18, 2021 (edited) DCS currently uses a floating cam postion for headtracking, not a fixed campoint tied to a rendered pilot body (actor) with animation resolvers (afaik). In the Pilot-Commander Station this causes the cam-vector to often glitch into the rendered airframe beyond the station confines. Attached track shows the glitches purely using the x,y,z offset axis (head movement) and enhancing the issue with the zoom axis. Also noticeable: the x,y,z confines are hard set for the side-door (cam cannot "lean peak" outside forward even when door is open) are not set, not set enough, not present when looking over the shoulder (rotation 180°) plus lean forward (x) are not set not set enough, not present when raising head (y) This is a relevant bug as the cam-vector tends to glitch through the airframe in emergency maneuvers, overweight hover situations, combat maneuvers where it is most distracting and a recenter is adding to "having ones hands full", while immediately glitching back. I am well aware that this is tedious work (another box) but as there is no actor subsystem to tie-up on this may have to be listed up as the player-view-cam is a vital part of the module loop. headtracking_xyz_box_confines.trk Edited July 1, 2021 by rogorogo wrong trackfile attached, corrected, now CORRECT TRACKFILE ATTACHED 1

In-flight also hints at problem when campoint glitches during insertion/combat/defensive/challenging maneuver in weather or conflict.
