xcal13 Posted June 21, 2021 Posted June 21, 2021 I've been doing some testing in order to calculate fuel burn. Setup hind on "Take off from parking hot", increase game speed to 20x, all controls neutral, no collective being pulled. 9 times out of 10 one of the engines will catch on fire before i've burned through all of the fuel. I've tried using dust protection and messing with the anti-ice settings to no effect. For further information i have been doing this test on Persian Gulf, Liwa AFB, PRK 36, Weather 14.3 T °C, Light Scattered 2 at 8202 Feet, QNH 29.92 Best regards 2
xcal13 Posted June 21, 2021 Author Posted June 21, 2021 Update, Boosting the Ambient temperature to 41.3 T °C seems to have resolved this, will do more testing to find the cut-off point. 2

Moriarty Posted June 21, 2021 Posted June 21, 2021 Which certain conditions does this apply to please, @BIGNEWY? We can avoid them if we’re certain what they are. Thanks
xcal13 Posted June 22, 2021 Author Posted June 22, 2021 (edited) After a restart I am now unable to recreate the engine fire. If it happens again then i will update here with a track file. I took pictures of two seperate occurences, please note engine temperatures. https://imgur.com/a/26tJc9V Edited June 23, 2021 by xcal13
