A lot of people have been asking me to create a custom widescreen main-screen for them or their group. So I decided to release my template with a readme guide to help people create a custom main-screen that suits their needs. Hope you enjoy it.

In case you you don't know what I'm talking about, this template would help you create new widescreen main-screens to replace the ugly stock one. For more info, go here http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=32473

If you have any questions regarding this template, feel free to post the question here or PM me. But please look at the readme first since it contains a lot of valuable information to work this template. (It's a bit tricky since Lock On was never intended for a widescreen monitor)

Thanks super! i was hoping I would be able to make a mainscreen mod to look more like Flanker 2.5!

DCS Wishlist: 1) FIX THE DAMN RIVERS!!! 2) Spherical or cylindrical panorama view projection. 3) Enhanced input options (action upon button release, etc). 4) Aircraft flight parameter dump upon exit (stick posn, attitude, rates, accel, control volume, control-surface positions, SAS bias, etc). 5) ADS-33 maneuver courses as static objects. 6) Exposed API or exports of trim position and stick force for custom controllers. 7) Select auto multiple audio devices

making it as a regular 4:3 ratio, it might be a bit tricky. If you are trying to create one out of my template, theoretically it is possible. I would take a screenshot of the stock main menu in res 1600x1200 and work from there. Or take the original main borders that's included in my template, and stretch it to 1600x1200 resolution and start editing from there. I like to work in the correct ratio first and then stretch it to the red line so what you see is what you get. After you are done, just make sure you stretch it to the red line and it should look correct. Of course I never done this, I'm thinking off the top of my head.

Very cool aeroscout. Btw, how did you change the main menu's font color to red. I assume it has something to deal with the userinterface.cfg file in the FUI\EnglishVersion folder

Yes, actually, I deleted those lines of text in the userinterface.cfg and put the red text right on the .dds pic. I did the same with the Text for the planes. The only problem with this is that they don't show up in the training menu. (But who looks there anymore :music_whistling:)

If anyone knows how to decompress the other dds textures in the common folder, i'd like to know because I'd like to revamp the whole gui.

Thanks for the kind comments super.
