hrnet940 Posted June 22, 2021 Posted June 22, 2021 I hope this is the correct place for this to be. How can I change ATC to hear knots per hour as appose to meters per second? I have been in a number of real aircraft listening to ATC on approach and it is ALWAYS given as knots per hour, never meters per second. All aircraft wind limitations are in knots per hour. Art-J Posted June 22, 2021 Posted June 22, 2021 On a sidenote, keep in mind there is no such thing as "knots per hour", because the knot is a speed unit already in itself (1 kt equals 1 nautical mile per hour). About the main question though, I'm not sure it's possible. The ATC in this sim is a partially evolved feature/relic from the Flanker era and thus has some parameters always given in metric as per old Russian mil standards. We've been told complete overhaul of ATC is planned but nobody knows when that will come. i7 9700K @ stock speed, single GTX1070, 32 gigs of RAM, TH Warthog, MFG Crosswind, Win10.
hrnet940 Posted June 25, 2021 Author Posted June 25, 2021 Thanks for that information. I just started using DCS back when they had released the pre-order for their F/A/18C Hornet, early 2018.
