Dear partners. Maybe it's a stupid question, but I'm just a newbie. Can you explain to me how I can create a statictemplate and use it later to create missions. For example create a naval combat group of the aircraft carrier L61 Juan Carlos I. Thank you

I have a similar question. Just now began creating templates.

This GR video shows how to create a SAM template. Also works for creating a group of ships (that I wanted to do).

I could create a group of 4 x Stennis. Beyond that I wanted to place static objects on each Stennis and I couldn't figure out how to that.

Further I wonder if it's possible to create templates of templates. Ie place four 4x stennis groups and create a single 16x Stennis template

Unfortunately, static templates retain their position on the map.

It is still useful for making bases/fobs, but they will always be in the same place.  So if you want to move them you have to manually drag all of the objects by hand.

If you want to save a template, make sure it’s the only thing on the map when you save because the save function will save all objects on the map.

Modules: A10C, AV8, M2000C, AJS-37, MiG-21, MiG-19, MiG-15, F86F, F5E, F14A/B, F16C, F18C, P51, P47, Spitfire IX, Bf109K, Fw190-D, UH-1, Ka-50, SA342 Gazelle, Mi8, Christian Eagle II, CA, FC3

Static objects tied to ship follows it.

I just don't know how to create this in Mission Editor.

Build your fleet. Place all escort ships in same group as carrier. Place aircraft on deck, can be ai or static objects. Edit/Save Static Template.

Start New Mission. Load Static Template. This will place all objects in their original positions. When you drag carrier to new position, everything will go with it.

You could then add more copies of you fleet till you have four, then save that as a new Static Template.

The only issue with all this is if you change the carrier's heading. Only the objects on the carrier will move. The escort ships need to be re-positioned individually.

Make sure your statics are linked to the carrier or you will not see them on the deck.
