Burt Posted June 26, 2021 Posted June 26, 2021 I really didn’t know this but I just booted up DCS alone without logging into steam and didn’t have any monitoring tools running in the background because all my settings were performing really good especially with the NVidia 471.11 driver. It ran really smooth and I flew the Tomcat back to back about 4-5 times in a row without freezing up the sim. I’m not saying this is a fix but I always thought that you have to sign into Steam when using the G2. I had no stutters what so ever not a smudge. I really don’t need fpsvr at this time because all my settings and tweaks are solid but it felt like a smooth and steady 45fps. Anywho something new to me at least. Brainfreeze Posted June 26, 2021 Posted June 26, 2021 Not sure what you mean by ‘not logged into steam’. But dcs will not run without steamvr…it will launch wmr for steamvr and steamvr automatically in the background and in your headset you will see the transition from the wmr hillhouse to steamvr home or grid then dcs. 1 i9 14900K / 64GB / RTX 4090 / Varjo Aero / Winwing Orion2 + F15EX / Virpil Wrbrd + Alpha Stick + ACE pedals
Burt Posted June 26, 2021 Author Posted June 26, 2021 Yes that what I meant. I always thought or did , was sign in to the Steam account first. But it started giving me weird error codes so I went back to my regular way I guess.
