pauldy Posted July 4, 2021 Posted July 4, 2021 (edited) ...vs the Menu Bar/F10 Altitude reading It seems that the Eagle's Barometric Altimeter "Drifts"... looses it calibration or something that the difference between the Menu/F10 view eventually ends up as big as 500+ feet or more. I'm using our 2.7.2 stable btw so yeah... Thanks Edited July 4, 2021 by pauldy [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
pauldy Posted July 6, 2021 Author Posted July 6, 2021 (edited) I forgot to add, this usually happens when adjusting the altimeter settings prior to take off. When i don't adjust it, the difference doesn't seem much. Edited July 6, 2021 by pauldy [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
pauldy Posted July 6, 2021 Author Posted July 6, 2021 "Right Shift + -" and "Right Shift + =" combos I see, so in a mission where pressure isn't standard, the Eagle's Altimeter will always be off Back then, I was thinking since FC3 Aircraft Altimeters can't be set, it automatically adjusts itself based on the set Pressure in the mission ^^; [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
draconus Posted July 6, 2021 Posted July 6, 2021 OK, thx, looks like they fixed it in recent updates and we can now set the altimeter pressure, like with all other aircraft, FC3 included. The indication of the set pressure is still missing on the altimeter but the setting works and changes altitude both on altimeter and HUD - that should take care of your issue.
