It's a low hanging fruit and would really help with visual quality and performance.

There are many great solutions, which are easy to implement and would add valuable options for those who don't have the horsepower to simply crank up the MSAA.

Post process AA can be exceptionally helpful in optimising the VR ecperience as well. It's no golden bullet obviously but it can be extremely effective if you combine it with low amounts of SSAA...

The biggest argument for it, is that it is so easy and straightforward to implement. There is no excuse to not having it really...

I thought that we did have a whole bunch of settings an options on this already, or are you suggesting something new?

What would be really cool is if someone who knows what they're really doing (clearly not me unfortunately) could recommend some optimised settings.

as far as i know the only anti aliasing options avaialble right now are MSAA and SSAA. these are not post process AA though.

post process AA are techniques that are applied after the image is rendered to reduce jagged edges. they are generally less effective than MSAA, but have only minor impact on performance.

i don't want to recoomend a specific post process AA technique, because then there would be endless discussion on which is best. the devs should decide what they see fit best for dcs. generally all post process AA share the main traits of having a smaller impact on perfromance than MSAA (and SSAA).
