Brainfreeze Posted July 12, 2021 Posted July 12, 2021 Can someone tell me: Using the 'Save profile as' command from Options/Control: Does it save only the profile for the selected aircraft or does it save for all aircrafts + general + UI layer? Can you load a profile from a different joystick (if only 2 buttons are different it is faster to change a couple of assigments than redo the entire thing for every function)? Probably been answered somewhere but can't find it and am massively frustrated of this at the moment i9 14900K / 64GB / RTX 4090 / Varjo Aero / Winwing Orion2 + F15EX / Virpil Wrbrd + Alpha Stick + ACE pedals
LeCuvier Posted July 14, 2021 Posted July 14, 2021 (edited) The profile you save is for a single controller (per the column selected) and for a single aircraft. You can load any profile, but if the button numbering is not the same for the same function then you load a mess. I, for example have used a native VRP stick in the past, and now I use the TM-WH grip in the VRP base. The game still sees it as a VRP stick, but I had to re-bind all the buttons because their numbering is different. Sirbum Posted August 5, 2021 Posted August 5, 2021 when i save a profile it doesnt matter what column i have clicked it saves it to the same file. Should it not be doing this? i thought it use to be that it saved one for throttle and one for stick but mine does not seem to with my X56. wondering if this is the reason my Throttle is trying to move my stick
LeCuvier Posted August 5, 2021 Posted August 5, 2021 You need to 1. make sure that the right folder is selected. The user interface is a bit weird. It does not pre-select the right folder for the aircraft you're working on. 2. select a file you want to overwrite with current profile data, or enter a new file name. And of course, the profile you save is for one controller at a time. As you say, separate files for throttle and stick.
