receiving change password requests via email which i did not request

received 2 emails with a password change request without requesting them myself!

 

is this someone who is trying to hack my account ? any one else same issues ?

I'm not from the ED team, but yes, most likely is someone trying to enter your account. It could be someone that is returning to dcs, had a very similar User Nickname, and doesn't remember it correctly.

Email address is NOT required for password rest - only the LOGIN.

 

So if your login is Maks12 and someone has the account Maks21, and they are trying to get in with Maks12, and have put that into the 'Get Password' - you will receive the email from their attempt.

Getting unexpected password change requests could be a sign that someone’s trying to access your account. I had a similar situation once and ended up changing my password right away. I use a random password generator to create strong, unique passwords for all my accounts. This helps ensure that even if someone does get hold of your old password, it won’t help them with the new one. If you didn’t request the changes, it’s a good idea to update your password immediately and check if there’s any unusual activity on your account.
