TID dropping contacts (reappear 5 second interval) - Head on intercept and angled with J-11

****recreated the mission in ME and had no issues...please delete this post******

Hi Guys,

I dont know if this is a bug or indeed as designed/coded, so please bear with me. I am flying the F-14B on the Marianas Mission where we intercept a four ship flight of J-11.

First I tried a dumb intercept head on and the contacts kept dropping off the TID and then reappearing in like 5 second intervals. It happens almost all the way to the merge with aspect set to Nose. The same behaviour happens when I flank and intercept at a 45-90 degree angle. Both intercepts I am keeping my speed between 250 -300 knots.
So my question is this...has this constant dropping of the TID then reappearing got to do with closure rate issues or is this jamming from the J-11.

I hope my question makes sense....btw I have not really touched the RIO seat so consider me a n00b when it comes to the intricacies AWG-9.
If required I can add a track file later this week.

cheers

Tomcat is immune to jamming atm - not implemented yet.

AH, oki-doki, i was afraid it might be the aspect setting for the radar. Just a patch away or so it was always set to flanking and there was no way to tell Jester to change it 🙂
