KillingJoke Posted August 17, 2021 Posted August 17, 2021 Morning all, I'm sure this has been asked before but unfortunately I didn't have much luck finding the answers I was seeking with the search. As a very quick question, I'm looking at swapping my Warthog base out to the Virpil Warbird base. When looking at the Virpil bases I noticed that they state there maybe compatibility issues/functionality limitations when using the Thrustmaster sticks in combination with the Virpil bases. Is this the case? Are there any things I need to be aware of before taking the plunge? This is all reliant on being able to repair my Warthog stick (should be a simple fix, assuming the bits ordered fit), in the event my stick cannot be salvaged I'll just get a Virpil set up and keep the Warthog Throttle.
speed-of-heat Posted August 17, 2021 Posted August 17, 2021 If you don’t use target, there are no issues, if you use target scripting, you may find issues with the POV hat, which always displayed up for me, when the script was running SYSTEM SPECS: Hardware AMD 9800X3D, 64Gb RAM, 4090 FE, Virpil T50CM3 Throttle, WinWIng Orion 2 & F-16EX + MFG Crosswinds V2, Varjo Aero SOFTWARE: Microsoft Windows 11, VoiceAttack & VAICOM PRO YOUTUBE CHANNEL: @speed-of-heat
zildac Posted August 17, 2021 Posted August 17, 2021 (edited) I concur WarBrd base in use here with the TM stick, no issues except for the POV hat (for trim), by default the setting in the the Virpil software requires you to push it multiple times as opposed to holding it. I can't for the life of me find the post where the fix is outlined but it is a very simple drop down setting chnge to the POV switch in the Virpil software. Am out of the country at present so can't check the UI. Update: Found the link re POV hat if you happen to have the issue.....
