Yeah, as long as you don't have to carry anything, it doesn't malfunction, you've survived training without any serious injuries, and nobody resists, it's really CoolTM

Assaulting a ship with seaborne infantry is already problematic as it is, it doesn't need the added complexity of flight. And it seems kind of wasteful for simple ship-to-ship conveyance.
