Modding existing planes.

Take the spitfire.

Has a anybody modded it into different models.

Either giving it 2 .50 call and 2 20mm or giving it 8 .303 etc

Now for the earlier spit the cockpit is different. But the E-wing would be close to identical to the one in the game except for the armerments

I'm fairly sure no one has because it's a ED/issued so protected copyright etc AFAIK

By that definition no game ever can be modded.

People have modded the P51 to become a Hurricane etc.

I understand that a lot of planes use the P-51 cockpit, see Markindel's various aircraft. I did say, As far as I know, no one seems to be doing other marks of any of the original aircraft. Hopefully a more knowledgeable person will be able to help further
