Cockpit not illuminated by external light source

The cockpit does not illuminate with an external light source other than the sun.

Not sure this is a bug - it's as designed.  This would be more of a wishlist item... it'd be awesome if they incorporated light sources other than the sun.  (Missiles coming off the rails at night come to mind)
