PKP_Cooler Posted August 31, 2021 Posted August 31, 2021 Hi There, Does anyone use curves for throttle to assist with light touch A2A refueling? Thanks!
Falconeer Posted September 10, 2021 Posted September 10, 2021 Since every throttle/stick is different, a curve is very personal IMO The trick is to constantly move the throttle back and forth (pilots do this in RL too) Every move you make with the stick can cause a change in speed, especially in the vertical plane of motion. Make small throttle corrections and practice a lot. You need to develope a certain "feel" for it. ColinM9991 Posted September 10, 2021 Posted September 10, 2021 (edited) Best way to find your ideal curves - get in the air, pick a speed, let's say 300kts, then try to stick with that speed for a bit. Afterwards try to fly formation with the tanker, without actually tanking, and repeat the process. Adjust curves from there and repeat. Edited September 10, 2021 by ColinM9991
