BuzzLine Posted September 4, 2021 Posted September 4, 2021 Hello there ! I just finished the campaign. *EXCELLENT* work, the concept of "the arctic" was utterly brilliant, I had no idea it was possible to do something like that and I enjoyed the missions there thoroughly. (and before you ask, let me write something on Steam too) I had a minor issue with the mission 13: Spoiler the one where you have to land a second time on the oil rig after pickung the guy near the green smoke : the trigger "landed successfully, passengers aboard" fired *before* I actually landed and the engine one triggered also right after . No worries as it was my second try but it messed up the narrative. Best guess for the root cause is I was orbiting (take the camera, Andrei) too far from the platform. During my first try for the mission, I was much closer and everything happened normally (but I crashed on the way back) so I had the expected narrative. Great visuals there, btw, landing in the flames is epic. Anyways, I managed to get back to base and landed successfully, 100pts A suggestion for improvement: the weather does not look that bad (you can even see some blue sky at times), there are strong winds but good visibility, no snow falling. Maybe there could be a way to have "harder" weather ? Anyhow, excellent campaign, great job ! Looking forward to part 2. Keep up the good work.

It's great to know that you liked the campaign. Now we cannot make the weather worse, such a preset is not yet available in the new DCS weather. We are still improving the trigger system and I will take your feedback into account. This will work much better in future campaigns. Landing is tied to collective pitch, and by all the rules, this trigger should not have worked while your collective pitch is above 7 degrees. I will check it. I am not a great pilot and I'm guilty of some ... energetic ("brutal" ?) flying sometimes, so reducing collective completely is something I do sometimes during a fast and high approach. 1
