Mike_Romeo Posted September 5, 2021 Posted September 5, 2021 You can enable EPLRS in the advanced waypoint setting for every unit but I would like to know what excatly EPLRS is and what it does in DCS. The DCS manual only says that EPLRS Set the unit's position datalink on/off. So do I have to activate it for every plane in DCS so that players are able to use their datalink in multiplayer missions ? My skins
Backy 51 Posted September 5, 2021 Posted September 5, 2021 Enhanced Position Location Reporting System (EPLRS) If a DCS World aircraft or vehicle is EPLRS-capable, (this is coded in the LUA for each US aircraft/vehicle), DCS World aircraft that have either SADL (A-10) or LINK-16 (F-16/18) will have a friendly symbol displayed on their appropriate MFD situational awareness page. Read the Link-16 section in the Hornet manual for details. 2 I don't need no stinkin' GPS! (except for PGMs :D) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

If you activate it on a ground unit, then SADL equipped aircraft like the A-10C can see it on their sensors. The F-16 should also have SADL, but currently no such functionality exists in the DCS F-16.
