Rebel28 Posted September 20, 2021 Posted September 20, 2021 The road traffic shows up between players but the trains do not. Is this a known problem? Will it be corrected?
Sewo Posted September 20, 2021 Posted September 20, 2021 From last changelog: Quote Trains now appear in MP games. I didn't test it much, but on last TTI session me and my friend saw trains synchronized.
Rebel28 Posted September 28, 2021 Author Posted September 28, 2021 Trains on the Nevada map are not in the same position for all players. You can call train at your 1 o’clock and get a response of nothing but open track nothing there.
Rebel28 Posted October 7, 2021 Author Posted October 7, 2021 What is really strange is that on the Nevada map the road traffic is located in the same for all players but the trains are not.
Loophole Posted January 5, 2023 Posted January 5, 2023 Train synchronization seems to be erratic in multiplayer. I've spent several weeks developing a train-attack mission and testing parts of it with a friend, and it worked fine. Tried running it with 6-7 people and only half of them could see the train. Indeed, even I *as the mission host* could not see the train - though I could see the smoke where it was supposed to be, and the scripts that caused troops to deploy from the damaged train apparently also worked.
MarcosR Posted December 11, 2023 Posted December 11, 2023 Bumping this thread to avoid creating one. Some issues from the past are fixed but still see a few sync issues. Using a script to spawn a train works fine in MP. but when they are removed (group:destroy()) they don't disappear in MP, they stay in the map... if you go out of the server and get back in the train disappears.. Another issue is, if another units destroys it entirely, if you go out of the server and go back again in, the train will looks like new, doesn't look destroyed. Thanks for the help! 3
Loophole Posted December 12, 2023 Posted December 12, 2023 It would be nice to see these issues resolved. A while ago I made a fun mission that involved tracking down and disabling a train, then landing troops to recover cargo from the undamaged carriages, but in the end had to shelve it because of the multiplayer issues with trains. (I tried switching the train for a truck convoy, but those idiots kept getting stuck on bridges or jamming on other AI vehicles).
