Touch screen monitors

I'm looking for information on what kind of touch screen monitor I should be looking for to use for MFDs and or instruments or whatever, I guess to use with Helios....

 

There's a lot of monitors out there and I was wondering if there's a consensus on small screens that work well.

 

Also I have a triple screen rig, it's also my race sim, I'm looking to add two monitors to either side of the steering wheel and maybe one more to cover the wheel while flying. But I'm a little sketchy on how all of that would connect. I don't think my video card can connect three more monitors so the question would be how does that work?

A simple setup is two Lilliput 8" screens, if you will use TM MFD's  switches you don't need/want touchscreens. I found the touch to be a PITA, sometimes it worked fine, sometimes not. The TM MFDs work perfectly every time and they give you an extra 40 DX#'s to use in other sims/games. The Lilliputs use USB and not video ports so you will need up to 4 open powered USB slots to run them. Adding a 3rd just requires more USB slots! 

 

This is my setup (BMS 4.35.2 screen) using the two Lilliputs with the TM Bezels double-sided taped to them.. all the extra displays are done using Helios..

Hi,

 

I am running DCS on a 22" monitor (Helios + CaptZeen) + videoprojection.

My 22" was NOT originaly a "touchscreen" one but I bought an IR "touchscreen" overlay for about 40€ (+FDP)

it works like a charm

 

That might be a cheap solution for you.

 

PS :Can someone tell me how to insert an image to show you how it look like ?

The monitor showing Helio+CaptZeen cockpit is my old 22" + IR touchsreen ontop
The "HUD view" projection is 120 cm diagonal.
