Shrimp Posted September 29, 2021 Posted September 29, 2021 Hi, Does DCS have FFB on the rudder as it has in the pitch and roll axis? If not, then (developers) it should be implemented. Cheers!

Cheers! There aren't any devices on the market to warrant spending developer time on this, I am afraid. If you honestly believe providing Brunner as an example is sufficient to warrant spending dev resources on this, then we should probably start with a petition to support their flight sticks first and then see where it goes. I realize FFB pedals are high on wishlists of many simmers, but until we have affordable devices, it is probably not going to happen. Maybe try contacting the author of BrunnerDX and see if he could implement it for their pedals? 1 My controls & seat Main controls: , BRD-N v4 Flightstick (Kreml C5 controller), TM Warthog Throttle (Kreml F3 controller), BRD-F2 Restyling Bf-109 Pedals w. damper, TrackIR5, Gametrix KW-908 (integrated into RAV4 seat) Stick grips: Thrustmaster Warthog Thrustmaster Cougar (x2) Thrustmaster F-16 FLCS BRD KG13 Standby controls: BRD-M2 Mi-8 Pedals (Ruddermaster controller) BRD-N v3 Flightstick w. exch. grip upgrade (Kreml C5 controller) Thrustmaster Cougar Throttle Pilot seat
Shrimp Posted September 29, 2021 Author Posted September 29, 2021 I’m not asking for support for Brunner devices. I’m asking to know if there is FFB on the rudder axis and, if not, for it to be implemented. I would appreciate an answer to the question. The momentum for proper FFB has to start somewhere…
The LT Posted September 29, 2021 Posted September 29, 2021 Just now, Shrimp said: I’m not asking for support for Brunner devices. The momentum for proper FFB has to start somewhere… AFAIK, there are no known rudder pedals with with DirectInput Force Feedback (Brunners have their own protocol). I am not even sure the protocol accomodates for such an application. Indeed, the momentum has to start somewhere. The way I see it, some well-known manufacturer should design a new device for the mass market and cooperate with Eagle Dynamics on advanced FFB implementation. Dirt_Merchant Posted December 10, 2021 Posted December 10, 2021 @MAXsennado you have some documentation on ffb? i'd love to see whats going on under the hood - i'd like to be able to take on a project for someFFB rudders, but if there is no Z axis built into the directinput standard - prolly screwed on that. This guy has done something with ffb rudders: http://www.simprojects.nl/rudder_pedals_with_force_feedback.htm

My FFBv2 comment was some sort of joke, but I'm sure it will eventually come, if FFB gets popular in flightsims again, and not only racing.BUT!!! Post in this thread.
