Picchio Posted September 29, 2021 Posted September 29, 2021 (edited) Hi all, I'm encountering this strange issue (VR, Index): the cockpit is correctly eflected by some of the instruments' glass cover. It would seem that these reflections also mirror shadows cast onto the cockpit itself (I don't know how else to interpret them as they also move according to the sun's position). However, these mirrored shadows do present some very pronounced aliasing - it's easy to see quite big blocks, together with mapping artefacts or significant semplifications (shadows sometime appear striped). Of course I know this cool effect could be too intensive to have it at a higher quality, but I'm wondering if it's considered final and if there is a way to deactivate it. Sorry for the lack of better screenshots, but it's extremely hard to photograph it with a simple phone camera. Edited September 29, 2021 by Picchio
IronMike Posted October 1, 2021 Posted October 1, 2021 This is related to the new clouds, iirc, and nothing we can do about it. 1 1 Heatblur Simulations Please feel free to contact me anytime, either via PM here, on the forums, or via email through the contact form on our homepage. http://www.heatblur.com/ https://www.facebook.com/heatblur/
Airhunter Posted October 4, 2021 Posted October 4, 2021 (edited) Personally I don't really see much of an issue with this. Instruments are perfectly readable in most conditions I came across. Edited October 4, 2021 by Airhunter 2
Picchio Posted October 11, 2021 Author Posted October 11, 2021 Thank you for the response. It's no big issue and it doesn't compromise readability. But since it's such a nice effect, I hope it will be fixed at some point.
