BitMaster Posted October 12, 2021 Posted October 12, 2021 That is indeed best, the downside is that you need a full 2nd license to do so. BitMaster Posted October 12, 2021 Posted October 12, 2021 Now that you have the naked board, take the CR2032 Battery out and put a coin in for 15min to fully flatten the cells. This has sometimes helpedlto revive boards that seems dead, but usually the CPU had to be removed to make it work, which you have. Also place the cap on the Clear CMOS Jumper, totally drain it. If that won't boot it and if your board doesn't have the Q-Flash option then I guess the board needs either a new Bios, IF you can get the EPROM out, many vendors don't have replaceable EPROMS anymore and that would suck in your case but iirc one Pilot wrote that there are proms for your board available in eBay, so likely yours can be pulled out. We used to do that on previous TM Hotas gear back in the days....or it's beyond user means to get repaired = RMA. Such things suck ! New stuff, ought to be fun and then it turns out into a medium nightmare RMA, hate it but such things do happen. Once i told them i already did all that, they said i had to contact my local shop where i bought the board for RMA. Waiting now for their response. Sounds like Gigabyte typical Support... Normally it is up to them to sort out this sort of issues unless your board warranty is already expired or you've done something that nulifies it. Reseting CMOS doesn't always work, flushing it and reinstalling it does more to solve this sort of issues simply because the files can be corrupted during instalation or in other cases like bad handling of settings which sounds like what happened to you if you tried an unsuported set up. I hope your shop knows what to do and can help you, next time you upgrade your M.B, try a company with a good reputation for technical support... To get a new BIOS file you can try downloading it from a local internet cafe following their instruction, in particular formating for the USB stick, or you board might not see it at all. My opinion haven't changed, I'd have flushed and reinstalled the BIOS first thing. Edited October 12, 2021 by Thinder Win 11Pro. Corsair RM1000X PSU. RvL Posted October 13, 2021 Author Posted October 13, 2021 Been talking with the shop, and unfortunatelly my board is out of warranty. I thought that by them giving me a replacement what happend less then a year ago, the warranty would be renewed again. But thats not how it works, unfortunatelly. So, im happy i already bought a new TUF B550 gaming plus motherboard the day the Gigabyte board stopped working. Im gonna try to revive the Gigabyte board in the near future. Thanks guys for your help and input. I'll let you guys know what the outcome will be. MSI MPG B550 Gaming Plus - Ryzen 5 5600x - RTX3070 - 32GB Ram - HP Reverb G2 - Warthog HOTAS - VKB rudder pedals
TAW_Impalor Posted October 18, 2021 Posted October 18, 2021 Can't help OP with BIOS, but there is a way to bypass TPM by building own ISO. I did than couple of months ago and am happy how DCS performs with W11. 12900KF@5.4, 32GB DDR4@4000cl14g1, 4090, M.2, W10 Pro, Warthog HOTAS, ButtKicker, Reverb G2/OpenXR
