markturner1960 Posted October 28, 2021 Posted October 28, 2021 Hi, just got my new base, using it with a TMF18 grip currently, but will be swapping in my real simulator F18 grip once my extension arrives from sahaj.....was super impressed first flight, way better than my old warthog base...! But..the action is quite firm compared to my old one and I know it comes with different cams and springs. Before I started taking it apart, I wondered what other users thought of the standard set up ( Its very precise, I was just wondering if it might get a little too tricky working against the springs on longe rflights or sustained stick deflections...) and if there was a generally preferrEd combo of cams and springs. Also, what does adjusting the axis via the screws on the top actually do? Thanks! speed-of-heat Posted October 28, 2021 Posted October 28, 2021 tightening the screws increases the tension (makes it harder) untightening them reduces the tension , makes it softer SYSTEM SPECS: Hardware AMD 9800X3D, 64Gb RAM, 4090 FE, Virpil T50CM3 Throttle, WinWIng Orion 2 & F-16EX + MFG Crosswinds V2, Varjo Aero SOFTWARE: Microsoft Windows 11, VoiceAttack & VAICOM PRO YOUTUBE CHANNEL: @speed-of-heat
markturner1960 Posted October 29, 2021 Author Posted October 29, 2021 Cheers, I will start with trying to loosen them a little. Still interested in opinions on the cams and springs System specs: PC1 :Scan 3XS Ryzen 5900X, 64GB Corsair veng DDR4 3600, EVGA GTX 3090 Win 10, Quest Pro, Samsung Odyssey G9 Neo monitor.
