Land and Sea modules (combined arms follow ons) instead of asset packs

It's that time of the week, I'm posting about land and Sea modules as well as the lack of assets. This time in the same post. I was just thinking that since one complaint everyone has about asset packs is "they divide the online community" then how about doing combined arms follow ons, which would focus on a theater and era. For example we might have DCS :Combined Arms-Eastern Front which adds playable Red Army assets for WWII and Korean war scenarios, and DCS: Pacific Task force which adds playable ships for the Pacific theater, and so forth. I would hope that the vehicles in the modules would have a lot of details. I understand that an over view module won't be steel beasts but I would like something better than the current combined arms. Though full fidelity modules might be cool in the future. I don't know what a full fidelity ship module would be like. I figure the best approach to a ship module would be to be from the captain's perspective in single player with the option to check in on a few stations and have a bridge, cic and the like that would work in VR.

Personally I think infantry/ground units are in so much need for an update that anything would be welcome, and or seen as an improvement. It will be interesting to see how well the recently announced update for movement/animation pans out. But yeah, we could also really use more assets/drive able CA modules. Even though most are obviously here for the flying, I think there is a lot more pent up demand for the ground war than most here believe. And as helicopters gain in popularity, the need to address current ground war issues is going to become more pronounced.

I'm working on the same assumption. That if Eagle gave Combined Arms more attention, there would be a lot more interest.  Eagle advertises DCS as an all encompassing Air, Land and Sea sim. The land part has got the minimum amount of attention as possible while the Sea part is in even worse shape. As I keep saying, since DCS core is free fixing things there is ultimately a drain on resources so Eagle's motivation is in releasing modules.
