The Mosquito has two engines, so the proper Mosquito pilot should have two RPM levers to fiddle with.

Since I had a joystick controller / USB interface lying about and a 3D printer, the obvious thing to do was to make something to stick onto the side of my Warthog throttle.

There are only three  electronic components

·        One of Leo Bodnar’s BU0836 joystick controller

·        Two linear potentiometers

The design of the 3D printed stuff  was done on Fusion 360

(That knob/bolt thing on the top right tightens the levers against the right side of the enclosure as a friction adjuster).

If anyone wants the files, here they are.

Fusion 360 now prefers output in the 3mf format instead of stl.

The fusion360 design file is a dog's breakfast as I just kept adding things until it worked with no thought of design elegance or efficiency.

It is included so you can make your own modifications if required.

I like the WH throttle but it really could have done with a couple more axis. The toggle switches are useless outside the A-10C and even there they tend to only be operated once then left as they are. I realise they were recreating the left side panel from the A10C but even so.

If you've only had to use them once, you've either not fought it much, or you just bailed out rather than trying to get your systems and engines restarted. 🤣

That's a good idea.
I'll combine it with my brake lever.
Could also add the mixture lever and supercharger switch.

For those of us who are technically (and printer) challenged, there is also the option of getting the Thrustmaster TCA Airbus throttle quadrant. I put it (backwards) on my desk in front of the TMWH throttles, and it provide two really nice accurate long throw prop controls (along with a few useful buttons/switches).  When they are available, I'll probably add the associated side panels, that will add a couple more axes (for flaps or whatever).

I use a three-position switch of my Throttle as an Engine selector: Left - Both - Right, and then bind my throttle axis to "Throttle engine (selected) - axis" and a secondary axis binded to "Engine (selected) RPM / Propeller Pitch - axis". It works pretty well and its inexpensive.
