Jasonmoofang Posted November 7, 2021 Posted November 7, 2021 I'd be embarrassed if I missed something - but what is "Wizards" in Bowser's nineline in mission 3? I get that it's the IP, but does it refer to anything pre-briefed? No waypoint seems to be called Wizards and I don't see Wizards as a codeword in the list. I could just enter the target coordinates and hit it however I want and that advances the mission, but it still bugs me. I remember reading "Wizards" in the book as well and being similarly confused Now that I think of it though, I guess the nineline specifies the heading and range from Wizard to target - so is it just an arbitrary point that we're supposed to back compute from the target coordinate? Also had some trouble with aerial refueling, but that may be DCS' fault. I've never refueled on a KC-135 before - is it no longer possible to contact the right drogue once the wingman is done on the left? I couldn't seem to do it and gave up and finished on the left instead. Having loads of fun so far. Also really enjoyed the little easter egg at the end of Mission 2 about the LSO sounding just like Skipper 3

Presumably the AO has many of these points, and the JTAC can choose the most suitable one as a common point of reference for him and the aircraft. PowerBlade34 Posted January 28, 2023 Posted January 28, 2023 I had same question on Wizards. Glad it’s addressed here, I don’t see a set of coordinates for it, so I’ll try to calculate mentally next time. I also just now (possibly) ran into the tanker issue after the mission and headed to WP7. I was trying to tank from right drogue and just simply would not plug (Nails 42 had just finished). Worst is i only had 500 lbs of fuel so wound up flaming out and not finishing the mission
