  1. BuLLeT.ZA

    TPOD vs TGP

Yeah, that's a known issue. Specifically the aft CFT stations I think.
  2. I see you found your issue being a pesky SA-15, but thought I'd mention this as well for anyone else having issues with LGBs. There are known issues with the bomb releases. From Notso on the Razbam Discord:
  3. @RafaPolit I would say it comes down to planning. You should know what your friendlies are flying as well as what opposition you might expect. That way you will know how to react based on your TEWS most of the time. Listen closely to the AWACS bullseye calls if it's available. Compare that to your own bulls readout. Using those two together should give you good SA, but I'll admit it takes a while to be able to build a good mental picture based on bearings and distances. I'm still working on it. Lastly have a plan before you take off. You're presumably flying from A to B to bomb something. Stick to that plan and try not to get distracted. Use something like TheWay to plot your waypoints / target points.
  4. Typically - Direct. I only really use Auto with JDAMS when I intend to LOFT them from max range.
  5. Not implemented yet. Best you have at the moment are the ETA and ETE functions to your selected waypoint.
  6. Your screenshot shows you're in "Axis Commands". If you're trying to assign it to buttons (like a hat switch) you need to do it where the button config is. Under "HOTAS".
  7. With modifiers it should be possible.
  8. Figured this out. We have to wait for the "Designate" text to disappear from the radar/tpod before transferring the coordinates to the bombs.
  9. This is exactly the behavior I'm seeing. Just had a better run now by doing exactly the same thing, but deliberately waiting until the "Designate" text disappears from the TGP/Radar. The bombs all went for their assigned targets.
  10. I was the same. Got the F16 during the current sale due to it's SEAD capabilities, and I have to admit that I'm enjoying it.
  11. Confirmed. I see the exact same behavior. Always goes to the same place on each map respectively, regardless of range and direction inputs.
  12. "In this day and age" is a tough question since the aircraft in game currently is a far cry from the one currently in service. Furthermore, satellites are all well and good, but only lets you know where something was at a given point in time. The biggest advantage from my point of view is the all-weather aspect. You can search for and attack targets (granted, not small objects) without ever having visual contact with them. As for your other questions, I routinely battle with both issues so I can't really answer them. I have been told that the Suite of Strike Eagle we're dealing with at the moment was not particularly suited to either point. WSOs were better at manually tracking moving objects with the TPOD, and GMT wasn't very good. It will be interesting to see how the later Suites differ - once we get our hands on them. I try to make it standard practice to use HRM every time I approach targets to get better at reading the generated map. This is a great real-life example of using the radar and then the T-Pod to attack a target of opportunity:
  13. Regardless of the refueling situation, there are many situations where glare is an issue. The visor in the F15E is a quality of life feature I really miss in other aircraft now.
  14. It happens occasionally, though not too often. It's more that trying to find a spare hand to grab the mouse and hit the switch while maneuvering that can sometimes prove... challenging. Mapping it could help but it's still annoying to me. It distracts me from concentrating on the task at hand.
  15. It's one of the most annoying features of the F18.
  16. Aside from light interference, the only issues I have is that either TrackIR or DCS will throw it's toys out of the cot if I unplug other USB devices (headset/mouse) while ingame. Doesn't sound like the issue you're experiencing, sorry.
  17. Simply hitting Weapon Mode Switch Cycle Loop does it for me.
  18. You cannot have an active designation when using this method. Undesignate with Boat SW AFT and try again. I believe you ALSO need to have your bombs in auto mode to do this.
  19. Yep, slow repair solved the crash for me as well.
  20. You don't specify which keybinds you used to bring up the radio. In the F15E you need to bind primary and secondary radio buttons manually as they are not bound to begin with. I made mine the same as the hornet (RALT-\ and RSHIFT-\). You may well be doing this, but I thought I'd suggest it just in case.
  21. Have you tried A1? I think I recall having to swop it around.
  22. Correct. The designation only matters for release purposes, which is what CDES comes in useful for. Then again, I'm having issues with CDES and auto tracking as well.
  23. I'd actually say that she's erring on the side of being too forgiving. The brakes seem too effective. (Not that I'm complaining). As for over-steering it, I'd agree with Nodak.
