Gunfreak Posted November 16, 2021 Posted November 16, 2021 Don't know how I did it, as was crusing towards base after an inefectual bombing run on the frist mission of the Hunters over the Yalu campaign. I suddenly saw that it was showing something like 100 knots, while I obviously wasn't flying at 100knots, and then it just died competly, showing zero speed. So I had to land without knowing my speed, it was a bit more guessing then I wanted but I got it down. But how did I break it? I was flying towards base slowing decending from some 9000 feet to 4000 feet, that's when I noticed it, but exactly when I broke it I don't know. i7 13700k @5.2ghz, GTX 5090 OC, 128Gig ram 4800mhz DDR5, M2 drive.
AndyJWest Posted November 16, 2021 Posted November 16, 2021 Ice? Not sure if it's modelled, but IRL this can happen in the right conditions, e.g. descending through cloud. There is a pitot heater switch on the left forward console. 2

[MVP] Mugga Posted November 21, 2021 Posted November 21, 2021 The airspeed indicator will stop if the pitot is exposed to ice. Make sure you activate your Pitot Heat and it will prevent the issue from happening.
