Cannot save mission

This is already the second time it happened to me. I'm building a mission, press save and then the save icon gets stuck in the saving process. I then go and look how big the file is and it's 0kb big, so it's broken.

I tried saving it as a different name, and it does indeed generate a new file with a different name, but it's also 0kb in size, meaning useless too.

When I try to resave it as the original name, as in overwriting a file, I get an error message. When I try to play the mission, I also just get the error message.

So I'm now stuck with a mission that I can at best save as a template, and if I recall correctly, all triggers do not port over.

Is there anything I can do to save everything from this state? Or could ED at least update the saving process so this does not happen anymore?

Check that none of your assets have changed 'task' and invalidated an option set within them, it will show red in the 'advanced' list of said asset. I've never had this happen unless that was the cause.

No, that was not it. I have not changed any taskings between creation and the faulty save. In this mission, the only task for AI I gave was an arty group fire at point, some waypoints to other groups and set up an EWR. None of them had red taskings assigned to them. 

 

I have not found yet a way to reproduce it, but it happened at least twice already, making the mission completely unusable and lot of effort wasted. 

 

But I know some other user already made a report of such a possible incident. I will try to dig it up again later.

I see. I notice that there is an 'autosave' option in the settings now, could it be you have it checked and are saving at the same time creating an issue?

No, that was unchecked.
