Perhaps it is a finger problem on my part but here goes. I created a simple mission the other day for multiplayer and added a few "Static Objects" such as a few bombers and transport planes sitting on the ramp. When i took off in the mission i made my way to them, and destroyed them. Fine.

After a few more additions to the map, and testing it again, i now find that those same bombers, are now invincible.

Why would the static aircraft not take damage and explode ??

should i hit "Prepare Mission" from the pull down menu in the editor, when i'm done making my map? as is says in the manual that doing so set's up certain perameters. :book:

Thanks.

which would explain why a salvo of rockets did the job, but a single viker wouldn't.....

thanks for the input ?

Any more thoughts from anyone on this ?

I notice this when attacking a bunker in a mission I made. When the bunker was a static object it took four Vikhr to destroy (I say destroy - it never exploded) but when the bunker was set as a vehicle it blew up after two. This was a problem in Lock On:FC as well. I'm suprised it hasn't been fixed yet.

Hrmmm...

You are correct, when you set the static object as a vehicle, it get's destroyed right way. The thing is... it's not realy possible to "position" active aircraft on a certain part of the airfield, like a static aircraft. It's either, take off from runway, or take off from parking.

Thanks for the info...

Anyone else have any input ?? thoughts?

Assuming it works similar to FC (haven't got Black Shark yet), you could set up a couple of aircraft to start in flight a couple of miiles from the target airfield at the start of the mission with waypoints taking them into land.

By the time you get there, they'll have landed and taxied to the apron or parking areas..... If you time it right you'll get there to find some parked already and some still moving around the taxiways.
