Bug description:

Editor map and in-game terrain don't line up. I want to set a static object on an airfield parking perpendicularly to taxi way before the parking. I check the proper heading with a measuring tool. But when I get in the game, the object rotated always about 10 degrees to the right.

PC Configuration:

1. Intel Core2Duo E8500

2. Gigabyte GA-X48-DS5

3. Geil 2x2048MB in dual channel

4. 2x PowerColor HD4850 in CrossFire

5. 2x 250GB SATAII Seagate Barracuda IV in RAID0

6. Liteon DVD recorder

7. Internet connection type and performance

8. Saitek X52 + Logitech Driving Force Pro (pedals) + TrackIR4Pro

9. Windows XP Proffesional SP3

10. DirectX9.0c

4 degrees actually, from what I've measurd - at least for a few of the units and the FARPS objects ;)

I'll link this report to the "to do" list :)

Unfortunately this issue still exists in FC2.0. Is it known what the cause of it is, and if it is constant for all bearings, i.e. is it always 4 degrees off?

If the cause is known, it might be possible to make some external tool that computes the correct bearing based on the one measured in the mission editor.

I'm pretty sure that's what is implied. "That issue is known. We aren't going to fix it though." :megalol:

The coordinate mismatch increases as you move away from the center of the map. The issue can only be resolved by using a different map technology for the ME, which is not possible in FC2 or Black Shark at this time. We hope to resolve or at least minimize the issue in A-10C.

Thanks EB. This is interesting, because it means it could be solved. Edited by Case
