Jester, Lantirn and Bridges/Buildings

Is there a way to get Jester to lase bridges and other structures now or planned? 

Seems like a sensible use of an LGB and who doesn’t like blowing up bridges?

Oooh! I haven’t tried that yet. I’ve used Qeyes, which is great for telling J to start a search pattern from. Thanks for the idea.

Yep, unfortunately DCS does not allow us to target specific buildings or structures in a way similar to ground targets. This is also a reason why we implemented the head commands. Note that it goes by line of sight, so adjusting the cross while directly above achieves the best results when it comes to bridges, etc.

If you are creating missions however you can also use the set commands with value, and place a LantirnZone01 over a bridge/building/structure and then simply trigger Jester to target it. The mission Training Day is a good showcase of how powerful these commands are in a mission. You could easily pair that with radio items, and have a set of bridges, buildings, fields, cows, even, haha for him to target.
