84-Simba Posted December 13, 2021 Posted December 13, 2021 Hi there ! Since I did not get any answer despite having provided a track for the MavF not slewing after being handed off a target from another sensor I decided to make another post to draw some attention again. You'll find the track attached. Again, the question is to know if it is supposed to be that way RL because of the limitations or working flow of the RL aircraft ... or if it is bugged. Thank you. ED Team BIGNEWY Posted December 17, 2021 ED Team Posted December 17, 2021 The team can not reproduce the problem you are seeing unfortunately all seems to work as intended. If you are using realistic TDC slew in the hornet special options try without and see if it helps. thanks Forum rules - DCS Crashing? 84-Simba Posted December 18, 2021 Author Posted December 18, 2021 Hi @BIGNEWY Unfortunately no joy. The TDC option is not changing anything. Again, as soon as a target is pre-designated using another sensor (pod, AG radar or HSI/SA) and is handed-off to the Maverick you cannot slew the Mav sensor. You'd have to unlock the target with the other sensor, and then try directly with the Maverick. So if for any reason the Mav sensor is pointing to another target that the one intended, you have to mash the cage/uncage button until it goes where you want. Changing the Mav FOV before hand-off seems to help a bit but attacking a moving convoy is not easy since the Mav sensor will most of the time pick up randomly any vehicule, when you want to target a specific one you point-tracked beforehand (yes, I look at you damn Shilka !!) Now the question still stands : Is that supposed to be that way IRL or is it a bug ? With all the people that seem to have this problem I'm starting to think we are not looking at the same thing or we misunderstand each other for a reason. I don't know.
ED Team BIGNEWY Posted December 20, 2021 ED Team Posted December 20, 2021 We think we have found the issue and are working on a fix. Using undesignate with MAV when TGP + WPDSG is used should allow manual slewing. A fix will be in a future patch thanks 1 Forum rules - DCS Crashing?
