I was thinking about a new CPU 1. Amd 5600x 2. Amd 5800x So.. my questions are: 1 Will I see a difference in DCS.. I play in VR on a Rift S 2. Is it worth it to upgrade 3. Which CPU.. 5600 or 5800 I do a bit of photoshop but I haven't really found the 2700x that bad. Appreciate the comments. Cheers Edited December 16, 2021 by Gogojuice
BitMaster Posted December 16, 2021 Posted December 16, 2021 The main bottleneck is and will be your GPU, there is some to gain plus smoothen out the experience since you jump two generations forward, your IPC & Clock will greatly advance. Since it is a drop-it-in replacement with your board it might not be a bad idea in general. I would rather think 5600X or 5900X. Bossco82 Posted December 16, 2021 Posted December 16, 2021 I have the 5600x in a X570 motherboard. No problems or bottlenecks in DCS, I have a 6800xt now but I had a 2080ti until June 2021. Ran just fine for me. If your in the UK I think Scan have a Xmas sale on both.
