BTW, I updated the JF-17 livery to Year of the Tiger I'm trying to do like your easter egg on my livery and I have trouble with transparency on mine is there any type of compression or special save option to make it work ? actually my foggy version appear right away instead of slowly and disapear the same; also it is not really transparent, any idea ?
J-1775 Posted January 23, 2022 Posted January 23, 2022 Wonder about the same. DDS BC7 supports explicit alpha channel with 8 bits (equals grayscale), but all I get in model viewer is punched holes... Same when I fall back to PNG format...
ebabil Posted January 23, 2022 Posted January 23, 2022 Hey man good luck with re-texturing the huey. It is really outdated. J-1775 Posted January 24, 2022 Posted January 24, 2022 I found that 'Blending' values of 1 or 3 (instead of 2) support 8 bit alpha channel. Unfortunately each of them has its downsides. But thanks, I'll give blending '2' another shot with a BC3 conversion.
