Aircraft night external lights blooming

In contrast to the ground lights, the lights emitted at night, by default, from the aircraft (F/A-18C Lot 20 from what I see for now) is booming too much. Is there any fix on this

There isn't, and the F/A-18C is fairly notorious for this issue (here's another thread).

And a lot of aircraft still use legacy external lights (which seem to be DCS' basic default), these lights have this, IMO, rather awful looking fake bloom effect, which makes lights look like orbs; orbs that aren't particularly high quality, use clearly 2D sprites, that clip through geometry and don't account for line-of sight properly.

I think in a 2.5.6 update the Huey got upgraded external lights, which looked far better and then come the next update they reverted back to the old lights, and it was like going back in time.
