Pilotasso Posted December 5, 2008 Posted December 5, 2008 Some guys discussing wich one is better LOMAC or F4. I told them to disregard, because DCS is what they will want after DCS:Falcon is out. http://www.f-16.net/f-16_forum_viewtopic-t-7467-start-15.html I think the f4 community would be a major asset to market this SIM. It has a huge audience. refrain from going against their opinion but ratgher inform them DCS will be even more hardcore than anything they got now. Cheers. .
Coolhnd1 Posted December 5, 2008 Posted December 5, 2008 That's a flame war waiting to happen :smilewink: and I say that as an F4/F4AF player. I'll grant you that the DCS F16 will probably have more fidelity not to mention full 3D clickable cockpit with 6DOF support but the issue will be with the campaign. I just find the F4 campaigns to be very enjoyable. Now granted I haven't played using the new campaign system in DCS:BS but just from descriptions I don't think it will be nearly as immersive or fun as F4. I do look forward to the DCS version of the F16 and will almost certainly buy it when it comes out but I'm not sure it will completely make me give up F4. -- CoolHand
ED Team JimMack Posted December 5, 2008 ED Team Posted December 5, 2008 Having demonstrated DCS:Black Shark at shows that were predominately for users of Microsoft Flight Sim, my impression is that these users are highly likely to buy DCS:Black Shark. They like the switchology, correct procedures etc, but will probably not bother with combat. Also, I think it is well known that the helo flight model in Microsoft FSX leaves something to be desired. So those of you who frequent Microsoft FSX communities, please pass the message!. Having problems? Actually the Red Viper version of F4 has a very nice clickable 3D pit. F4 players TEND to do alot less multiplayer and put a fully dynamic campaign engine high on their list a qualities of a good sim. Many will give it a try but it's a different sell. Smokin' Hole Smokin' Hole My DCS wish list: Su25, Su30, Mi24, AH1, F/A-18C, Afghanistan ...and frankly, the flight sim world should stop at 1995.
