gcrimmins Posted January 31, 2022 Posted January 31, 2022 Hi all, I bought a quest 2 as my Rift S was showing signs of wear and have heard good things about Q2. Since I bought it, I can't actually even load DCS, the program runs insanely slow with DCS and the lag makes it impossible to even get to settings or making any sort of change to the game or start mission. My Rift S works flawlessly with DCS, good graphics, looks great. I can't wrap my head around why the Q2 is not working. Is there anything I could be missing? I am playing DCS on native, have an RTX 3070 card, AMD ryzen 5 with 16gb ram. The quest 2 runs fine on the PC, but the moment DCS is fired up, it just hates the game and the stutters and lag make the headset redundant. Using 72hz, at 1.0 in Oculus. I have tried OTT and still no better. What could I be doing wrong?
edmuss Posted January 31, 2022 Posted January 31, 2022 Are you dropping frames on the frametime graph? Try alt tabbing to another window for 10-20 seconds and see if it settles down, that can sometimes fix the issue. Also try with HAGS enabled and see if it helps. TZeer Posted February 1, 2022 Posted February 1, 2022 Is it starting up Steam VR and Oculus at the same time? I have been able to provoke oculus launching both the steam VR and oculus VR at the same time. That made everything a slideshow.
Hoirtel Posted February 1, 2022 Posted February 1, 2022 (edited) How are you linking it to PC? You say it runs fine on PC what else are you running? Could just be a link setting. Edited February 1, 2022 by Hoirtel
