Hi,

When we end a single offline mission how do we know if the mission was successfull or not?

I can't find it in the manual neither here on the forums. The manual is speaking about the score settings in the mission editor but i did not see any score in the debriefing window.

Thanks for any help or hint about this guys!

Mission builders can include success triggers that can add sounds and or text messages when a task or mission is accomplished.

It'll just take time for users to see the full potential of the mission editor.

Mission goals are set up in the ME by assigning points to mission events (for example, Player enters zone = 50 points). The total possible points per mission is 100. In the campaign engine, anything over 50 is considered a success and anything below 50 a failure. However, in any given single mission, the mission designer can set up the points in any way he likes. The player flying the mission can check his point progression in percent by using the ['] (apostrophe) key.

A good trick is for the mission designer to add Success/Failure triggers into the mission, to alert the player with a text message and sound when the mission has been passed/failed. There is no success/failure notice in the debriefing screen.

If you achieve your main objective, but lose 3 wingmen in the process, is that a success? Rather than saving this decision for the computer and out of the hands of the players, it's now left up to the mission/campaign designer to determine how to asses mission results.
