Dave317 Posted February 1, 2022 Posted February 1, 2022 After every DCS update I have to delete the export folder a few times before VAICOM works properly. If I don't the radio menu keeps popping up then dissapearing all through a mission and the chatter also doesn't work. Is it normal to delete this folder after every update?
RedeyeStorm Posted February 1, 2022 Posted February 1, 2022 Yes I have to do that regularly but not always.
MAXsenna Posted February 1, 2022 Posted February 1, 2022 The export.lua file? Or a folder? (Scripts?) No, I haven't needed to do that for over a year. As long as I shutdown VoiceAttack BEFORE I upgrade DCS, and start VoiceAttack BEFORE I start DCS again. To do this, I use Skatezilla's excellent launcher/updater app. With it I totally control the updates without starting DCS. Does noe work with Steam though. I would suggest that for the next update, if you're running Standalone. Shutdown DCS and VA. Remove all mods (not saved games mods), update and then do a full repair. Start VA and then DCS. 1
Dave317 Posted February 1, 2022 Author Posted February 1, 2022 Sorry I meant the export.lua file. Thanks I'll try your suggestion on the next update. 1
sthompson Posted February 2, 2022 Posted February 2, 2022 When you update DCS it reverses the edits to certain files that VAICOM makes when it starts. On the other hand DCS only looks at some of those files when it starts up. So it's important that you restart VAICOM with DCS not running after an update, and then restart DCS. That way VAICOM will redo the edits with DCS not running, and DCS will see them when it restarts. 1 1 I'm Softball on Multiplayer.
