TedStriker4686 Posted December 7, 2008 Posted December 7, 2008 I have this problem with my joystick where if I am in the easy avioics mode, my throttle slider works fine, but if I change to the advanced avionics, it has no effect and I have to use the keyboard. It is an older joystick, a CH Products F-16 Combat Stick, but it works fine with every other game. Any ideas? Thanks,
evilnate Posted December 8, 2008 Posted December 8, 2008 Clear the existing bind for collective in the "Real" configuration and re-assign your joystick axis for collective.
TedStriker4686 Posted December 8, 2008 Author Posted December 8, 2008 Clear the existing bind for collective in the "Real" configuration and re-assign your joystick axis for collective. I wish it was that simple. I've spent hours on this and I can't find a way to assign any axis to that function. The screenshots I've seen of the configuration options screen show something like "z-axis" for collective, cyclic, etc. . . but Mine just shows "Left Right Down Up" for the cyclic under the "CH Combat Stick" column and the Rudders show nothing under the joystick axis column (even though they work fine). This is in the "real" configuration. The "game" configuration shows no axis' at all in the joystick column, just buttons.

You are looking at the key setup, there is a dropdown list at the top pick the page Axis setups, go in there. TedStriker4686 Posted December 8, 2008 Author Posted December 8, 2008 I managed to work-around this issue by using the windows default settings for the joystick instead of the CH products driver. It's now set to be a generic 6 button joystick and the collective works. I'd still like to be able to invert the axis. Can you tell me what "Axis setups" looks like in Russian?
scatter Posted December 10, 2008 Posted December 10, 2008 (edited) I'd still like to be able to invert the axis. Can you tell me what "Axis setups" looks like in Russian? For me, "axis" was right under "all" in the drop down box at the top of the controls screen. To invert an axis I selected it and pressed the "tune" button towards the bottom right of the screen - there was a checkbox there to invert the axis.
