zika1234 Posted December 8, 2008 Posted December 8, 2008 What are differences: ACTIVE PLANAR. All active objects have planar shading. ALL PLANAR. All objects in the scene will have planar shadowing. FULL. The object that is the focus of view will have self-casting shadows and all other objects will have planar shadows. What are ACTIVE object, and what are ALL PLANAR?
159th_Viper Posted December 8, 2008 Posted December 8, 2008 Take screenshots of the different options set and compare..........Easier to understand a visual cue than an explanation I would think :) If you're however after a purely technical explanation.......then I'm afraid I'm of little help - not really bothered with such details :book: Novice or Veteran looking for an alternative MP career? ZaltysZ Posted December 8, 2008 Posted December 8, 2008 Active planar - object will have simple shadows only if camera is focused into it. All planar - all object will have simple shadows. Full - object will have self casting shadows only if camera is focused into it, every other object will have planar (simple) shadows. Self casting shadows make sense only in screenshots and movies.
