Hello!

7 times I have tried to pass this mission but at the end I am going to skip it. It is impossible for me. 

first even with low number of bombers (I didn't have problems previously with high number in other missions) and deactivating tacview, it produces stutters and lot of low fps drops in VR when the german planes appears... and the flak in the return of all planes occurs (it is crazy in the tacview when I saw it the wall of flak produced. In one of the multiple missions that I used tacview)

Second, in the last try I flought I was reaching the UK border, when suddently I was hit by a plane, but there was no enemy plane that shoot me!!

So I guess that it was a trigger action to ditch into watter. I called the emergency and they replied but after hit exit mission and proceed to next one, it was drawed, so I had to replay it again.

And third, but this is not your fault. It is impossible to follow in this mission correctly the leader. First in one of them my leader was hit by flak so he had to return, but I continued... I think is important that If we have to follow any AI, then they should be inmortal. But also follow them is almost impossible they almost stop in the middle of the sky to then accelerate like hell. No problem following. All is perfect trimmed etc... and in other missions no problem, but specially in this one, when the bombers appears and the planes turn to the left, the only way to follow my leader is to make a huge distance to him before the bombers appear so when the number1 of my flight almost stop at 50mph in the middle of the sky, I don't have enough space to overpass him. I think DCS until they fix the AI, it is not prepared to follow any AI plane for long time. It is nice to see the planes in front of you, but I think what it works is the player to be the leader, or maybe instead of putting points distance for AI, use more moints in between to let the aI planes fly more gradually (maybe that even don't work. Don't know...)

But the most problematic one is the fps problems that it breaks my VR connection even once I exit this mission. No happens with others. Lower the number of bombers and not use tacview helps but still is problematic. If I don't do that, I would end with 14fps in VR. And as said, this happens once the german fighers appears. Not previously.

Hi, thanks for the report.

I have no idea what you were hit by. It is certainly not scripted in the mission.  Maybe an enemy followed you? Maybe you collided with someone? Only your mission log could answer that.

The formation leader is always set to immortal in every mission. If your flight lead gets hit and aborts, you just move up and take his place and follow the Squadron/ Wing. Like in real life.

Performance: this mission has only 8 enemy aircraft, so I have no idea why this one is giving you stutters while others won't. Performance changes with every update. One day one thing causes stutters, after the next update it's another thing. E.g. I'm getting stutters when P-47s open fire, even in a simple 4v4. Submitted a track, but ED cannot reproduce it. Maybe your issue is related to this too? It depends on so many variables, sorry I can't be of more help with this.

AI: The DCS AI is in a very, very bad shape at the moment. About half a year ago an update came where the AI got some formation flying improvements. Well IMO it got a lot worse. Now I'm also seeing AI planes fly at high AoA, decelerating suddenly to stall speed, or flying in wild zig zags instead of just heading to the next waypoint directly. I reported these back in December and I am eagerly waiting for a fix, because it doesn't only break my campaigns, but other campaign makers are complaining too. I'm the mission maker, not the AI coder, so once the AI is told to climb, or follow someone, they're out of my control, they revert to what's hard coded into their behavior. No amount of extra WPs would make them fly 'more gradually' 😞

I can't redesign campaigns fundamentally every time something breaks (player being leader instead of wingman), I have to assume everything in the core game works as advertised. If not, then tracks should be provided to ED so they can fix the root cause of the problem.

The Air Sea Rescue is my bad, I mistyped a flag number. Will fix it for the next update!

I replayed the mission to be sure.

This time my leader wasn't hit by flak - but that's a random event, not controlled. I noticed the above described deceleration and weird flying of the AI that's been plaguing all missions lately. Otherwise the mission worked fine, I shot down 2 190s, then went down to the deck and spent my remaining ammo shooting up warehouses.

I only noticed an FPS drop when the enemy was attacking the bombers - probably because of the gunners firing - even though I optimized the mission so that only 1/3rd of the bombers actually open fire. There have been performance issues with the new damage modeling since it was released, an optimization is long overdue.

Thanks for the replies! For sure I enjoy your campaigns. I don't like those that you need to kill something to pass the mission, and that is great in your missions. You can do a boring mission and repeat other time and make it incredible. 

By the way. If I repeat a mission of a campaign and there were other missions done after that, If I accept the result, the next missions result will be lost. I know it is not your fault, but would it be nice to also ask for just reply without modifying anything after that repeated mission. Anyway....
