markturner1960 Posted February 13, 2022 Posted February 13, 2022 (edited) Hi, i have just got my new Helo sim chair set up and just about working......in anticipation of the Apache release, I am using the Hind to get some basics of Helo flying under my belt. Is there a guide regarding axis tuning, curves vs sliders, etc etc or any hints and tips you guys can pass on? One thing I notice is that at stick centre position, although the helo flies true, the controls indicator shows teh yaw axis to be centered to the left a little.....I just did a fresh calibration in the virpil software as well..... In particular the throttles, there seems to be a centre position on the controls indicator and the engine note seems to increase as I push throttle forwards as it nears it then decreases when it passes through it....Is this correct? Basically, I dont know how any of this is "supposed" to work so its tricky to know if I have a problem or not! Or what it should be! admiki Posted February 14, 2022 Posted February 14, 2022 It would make our job easier if you tell us what kind of controls you have. In general, I avoid using any curves at all, but important thing is to use what works for you
markturner1960 Posted February 14, 2022 Author Posted February 14, 2022 Hi, sorry, they are in my signature. Thank you. I have added a warthog throttle for the throttles.... Schlomo1933 Posted September 8, 2022 Posted September 8, 2022 While flying a helo, the cyclic is mostly not centered. It’s a aerodynamic thing. Also when you start or land, ( than is the cyclic backwards and right off center )
