HungryCoyote Posted February 21, 2022 Posted February 21, 2022 Is there a way to keep someone from taking the track file from a server, renaming it to miz and opening it in their mission editor? I would like this to prevent someone from finding hidden targets locations, then going on server and destroying them.
razo+r Posted February 21, 2022 Posted February 21, 2022 I dont think so (besides, even the track file format is supported by the mission editor). But maybe letting those units spawn in via a script could be a limited workaround. The player cant just see the units in the editor but has to run the mission to see their spawn location.
HungryCoyote Posted February 21, 2022 Author Posted February 21, 2022 Thanks for the reply. Interesting idea and I might have to go that route. Right now that won't work because for targets, I am using the default buildings that are on the map as soon as you start the editor. The idea is for players to destroy all the buildings in an area. When they hit the right bldg, Display a message that the mission has been finished.
cfrag Posted February 21, 2022 Posted February 21, 2022 I think that if someone is that pathetic that they go to such length to cheat, let them. Don't waste your valuable time on losers. Sure these people exist, but I think that they should not warrant your attention, much less design time. Simply ignore them. Eventually, they go away. 1
Zeagle Posted February 21, 2022 Posted February 21, 2022 (edited) I agree with cfrag. However, I do spawn all my OPFOR ground forces via scripts Edited February 21, 2022 by Zeagle
