From a 1220mm x 2440mm and a 610mm x 1220mm MDF Sheet.......

Hi all,

After moving house and acquiring a bit more room....and approval from my better half .....I made a cheap and cheerful sim. Bought a single large 1220mm x 2440mm mdf sheet, thankfully cut to required sizes by the B&Q staff, to make up two side pods to rest my flight sim hardware. Realised I could connect the pods underneath with two strips of mdf left over measured so my office chair, previously fitted with a small mdf panel between the leg area to position my thrustmaster joystick, to fit snug between the pods. Then came up with the idea of a half sized sheet of mdf fitted to the front of the pods to make an instrument panel in an A-10C style. Cut out the leg holes and used the waste from those to make an area to site the saitek rudder pedals.

Throw in a box of screws, some grey paint, Velcro (Thanks wilco!), a few decals from a guy on Etsy and some pictures of cockpit sections run off my printer and stuck to some board and voila..... Add my cougar mfds, two button boxes from ebay and some cheap led lights that usually attach to the back of a TV and even I'm surprised at the result!
