I am not sure if this is a new problem or if I am doing something wrong.  I have made many missions in the past with carriers and recently I have created a new one and my F-18 spawns in the middle of the deck as opposed to the parking area.  I am thinking this is some kind of bug. I have the flight set to Take off from Ramp.  Also I loaded an old misson that know worked and its behaving the same way.

If you mean the sixpack, (positions 1-4 below), the following from the Hoggit wiki explains the spawn logic well.

“On the Stennis and Nimitz SC objects there are 4 spawn points that are available only at mission start. These 4 are in the "six-pack" part of the ship. When there is a PLAYER skilled aircraft set in the editor the player will ALWAYS spawn in the first position. Anything that spawns at least one second after mission start will spawn in the next available spawnpoint.”

Is you mission paused then you spawn in? 

 

Try this before loading into the mission take it off of pause then spawn in I bet you will be in a parking space

Custom Carrier Parking Positions
How to place your plane anywhere on the carrier.
Follow the Picture for Parking Number

1: Make one or several plane groups of the wanted number of aircraft spawning in front of you. Takeoff from ramp.
2: Name the group *AI
3: Go to trigger, Click New Trigger, Name *Remove AI
4: New Condition -> Type: Time More: 1s
5: Action:New -> Action Deactivate -> Group *AI
6: Create Your or Client aircraft.
